We are a few kilometers from Nova Gorica, in the heart of the Slovenian Collio.  Right here is the Štekar winery which, for almost two and a half centuries, has been growing its own vines, producing fine grapes and quality wines.  Starting from an organic and eco-compatible viticulture, those produced by the Štekar winery are all precious labels, which are born in full respect of the traditional and ancient local values.  The family-run company was founded in 1771, but above all it was strongly implemented by Emil Štekar, the current owner's grandfather.  Merlot, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia and Pinot Noir: from just over five hectares of vineyards, located in positions to say the least excellent with favorable exposures and microclimate, wines with a direct and convivial style originate, but if necessary they also know how to demonstrate  structure.
