Vecchio Magazzino Doganale

The Vecchio Magazzino Doganale was born in 1871, riding on the historical, cultural and artistic period of the Belle Époque, with the creation of the "Amaro Importante Jefferson", a natural bitter born from selected ingredients throughout the Calabrian territory.

The bitter Jefferson is reborn thanks to Ivano Trombino and the legacy left by his grandfather Egidio Trombino in his mysterious trunk. In fact, some time ago Ivano received a suitcase full of diaries, stories and research carried out by his grandfather during his stay in Italy, caused by a dramatic shipwreck that threw him on the Calabrian coast together with his friends and travel companions, Gil, Roger and Captain Jefferson. . They are welcomed at the Old Customs Warehouse of Montalto Uffugo (CS) by the owner Giocondo and his family in what will become not only their new home, but their new life, in a wonderful setting of citrus fruits, spices and aromatic herbs. Over the years the group of friends acquires knowledge and practices to independently produce a special liqueur, linked to their personality, which they soon begin to trade with moderate success, always with the idea of drinking well and naturally.

From the ancient shipwrecked recipes, supported by Maestro Giocondo, today thanks to Ivano's hands, the bitter Jefferson comes to life again in the two versions "Amaro Importante" and "Tintura Importante Extra Strong", Gin "Gil", Bitter " Roger "and the" Family Heritage ", the family legacy left by Giocondo in the two labels based on cedar and bergamot, true symbols of Calabria and its unforgettable lands, enhanced by young, spirited and passionate entrepreneurs like Ivano.

Rural liqueurs still produced in an authentic and artisanal way, following the indications and recipes of Giocondo, Captain Jefferson and the other castaways, all great lovers of good drinking and in love with Calabria.

Labels with a genuine flavor and vibrant scents, obtained from natural botanicals, cultivated and selected throughout the territory.
