The history of Montecivoli dates back to the early twentieth century as a sharecropping farm of the Vivarelli Colonna estate. In 1992 two friends, Decio Oberholtzer and Francesco Prosperetti, took over the company and began an environmental redevelopment work through the reforestation of 15 hectares with a clear production choice oriented towards organic farming, which guarantees the preservation of the pristine environment of the Maremma. Over a five-year period, towards the end of the nineties, 7 hectares of vineyards were planted for the production of Morellino di Scansano DOCG grapes. In their Morellino the natural characteristics emerge clearly, typical of Sangiovese accompanied by Alicante which enhances its color and taste: it is a wine where you can smell the scents of the sun, the earth, the wind and the sea, enhanced by a careful and non invasive.
