The Stolghino salami by Salumi Montali is a small salami with a sweet and delicate flavour, perfect for an aperitif or a traditional Parma starter.

The origin of the name of this salami is very singular. It seems that the word "strolghino" derives from the Emilian dialect term "strolga", meaning "guess, witch", because it was once used to "guess" how the maturing of larger sausages and cured meats would go. This tasty salami is made from the leanest parts of Culatello obtained from the same pigs used to produce Parma ham.
