Another mysterious release from That Boutique-y Rum Company for the Secret Distillery #4. A 20 year old rum all the way from Grenada produced using a traditional column still. The label shows a spice market on a sunny Grenada beach.
Nose: Vaguely floral at first, before warming sandalwood and crushed spice develop, alongside some apple crumble sweetness.
Palate: Mouth-filling and subtly oily, with loads of honey, caramel and quince notes. A few touches of caraway and ginger tucked away in there.
Finish: Waxy peels and yet more cooking spices.
