Mars The Revival 2011 Komagatake
Aged in ex-bourbon barrels, Mars Komagatake The Revival is a delicately peaty whiskey bottled with a natural alcohol content (58%). Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2014 it is the first whiskey produced since the reopening of the Mars distillery.
Very rare whiskey, only 6000 bottles in the world.
On the nose, notes of vanilla, delicate caramel, a little oak and spices. Mars Whiskey The Revival 2011 Komagatake looks a little young, but not enough to detract from anything. It is a pleasant, quite fresh nose. With water it is sweeter and less spicy.
In the mouth the Mars Whiskey The Revival 2011 Komagatake is spicy (black and white pepper), with rich and sweet caramel. With water it becomes more fruity, just like the nose.
