Longrow 15 Years Old Red - Pinot Noir is a highly peaty single malt Scotch whiskey aged for at least 11 years in barrels that previously contained bourbon whiskey and aged for another 4 years in Pinot Noir barrels from New Zealand. Longrow was bottled in 2022 at its natural grade (51.4% vol.) Without being cold filtered and at its natural color in 9400 bottles.
Amber in color on the nose, it is sweet and fruity, with notes of red apples, sultanas, caramel, a touch of tobacco and sweet peat. On the palate it is full-bodied with notes of peat, cherries and dark chocolate with hints of fresh earth. The finish is persistent with notes of peat, dried fruit, cinnamon and dark chocolate with hints of red fruits.
