Glenfiddich 44 Y.O. 1973 Rare Collection 70 ° Velier is a rare malt, released to commemorate the 70th Velier: a Glenfiddich 44 y.o., distilled back in 1973 and bottled in 2017.
Obviously the malt in question is a Single Cask, only 147 bottles produced, as a result is extremely rare.
Antique gold in color, refined and complex on the nose with a fruity, floral and citrus bouquet. Vibrant wood spices, cinnamon and cardamom accompany hints of vanilla and orange on the palate. A malt that is confirmed as very elegant. A long finish of citrus fruits, apricots, toasted nuts and dehydrated plums.
At times it recalls a great Cognac.
