Girlan

The Girlan winery is located in Cornaiano, formerly called Girlan, a village famous since the Middle Ages for its wines, located on Monte di Mezzo, not far from Bolzano and Lake Caldaro.

The vineyards of the Girlan winery are located on gentle and windy slopes, immersed in the quiet of the Dolomites and kissed by that timid sun that allows the grapes to ripen slowly.  The vines rise to altitudes ranging from 450 to 500 meters between San Michele and the Piana dell'Adige.  The soils are particularly suited for the cultivation of grapes, not only due to the presence of marls and clays, but above all for the climate characterized by considerable daily and seasonal temperature changes.

The philosophy can be summarized in a few words, those used by the winery to promote their wines: "producing wine is like making a journey from the past to the future, always respecting the natural environment in which we live, with its rules and its  traditions. "  The Girlan labels are in fact faithful expressions of the South Tyrolean territory: wines rich in personality, balanced, full of aromas and fragrances and free to express themselves, out of any kind of forcing.
