Château Climens Barsac 2015 Premier Grand Cru Classé
Château Climens, is undoubtedly one of the greatest fortified wines in the world, its vineyard extends over 30 hectares of Sémillon. Its soil consists of fine gravel and red sand on a limestone bedrock. The vines have an average age of 35 years, with annual renewals of around 3-4%. The grape harvesters carefully select the grapes rich in botrytis cinerea, the famous noble rot of Sauternais. After fermentation in oak barrels, the wine is aged for two years before being bottled.
A Sauternes that impresses with its freshness on the nose and flavor in the mouth, which undoubtedly makes it a product for great aging. The complex olfactory texture is also convincing, which remains balanced by playing everything on finesse and measure.
