Springbank Single Malt 15 Y.O. release 2022
The gentle giant of Springbank. Matured exclusively in former Oloroso sherry barrels, it is exceptionally balanced from the first sip to the rich and full finish. Unfiltered cold and without dyes, it is bottled at 46%.
Aroma: Large and compact with notes of salami. The influence of Oloroso sherry is revealed with notes of grilled beef, cloves, mint and iodine, stock cubes and dried plums while hints of lobster pot highlight the typical marine influence of Springbank.
Palate: The peaty character is present with the sooty smoke of the kiln and tobacco leaves. Viscous. Plums, nuts, Demerara sugar, cocoa powder and smoked meat.
Final: First growing with soot, leather and nuts and then slowly and long reflux.
