Nagahama Distillery is Japan's smallest distillery, and its whiskeys are named after it, spelled backwards. The Amahagan series is produced with malts from abroad, single malt whiskeys from Scotland and a new make produced in the distillery; each phase, from blending to bottling, takes place at Nagahama. Edition number 5 is embellished with a second aging in ex-Sherry casks, which add a rich basket of red fruits and dried fruit to the malty and clean character of Amahagan.
