This rum is a 100% Pot Still from the Hampden distillery, which is sent to England where it rests for a short time in cask before being bottled under the Smith & Cross brand.

The blend consists of Wedderburn and Plummer rums, both from pot stills, the former aged for less than a year and the latter aged between 18 months and three years in American white oak barrels. A short aging in a cold climate allows this rum to maintain the fruity and mineral notes, slightly rounding the bouquet and the aggressiveness of the pot still thanks to the wood.

The result is a full-bodied, powerful but soft rum that attacks the sense of smell in a much more delicate way than its 57% ABV suggest.
