2013 was a cold but serene year in Trinoro with little rain. The grapes were healthy, hard, low in sugar, high in acidity, but ripe; fermented, it produced a fairly impervious wine that continued the same evolution that had already been set by the plants. To favor this work, we kept the wine on the lees for a long time.
Palazzi is an intense merlot, turning to red fruits, coming from four very different vineyards, so as to combine the fruit of the strong clay of Piano Prima Pezza; the depth of Piano Secondo Pezza; the fantastic silt of Cavalli Sud and the gravel of Strada Nuova.
On the palate it is astringent but with quality tannins, which need some time, it is long and very promising.
